Nalin Prabhat, a 1992 batch of the Andhra Pradesh cadre Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, appointed as DGP of J&K and to take charge from October 1, 2024 after the retirement of RR Swain on September 30, 2024.
Nalin Prabhat also served as the Additional Director General and Inspector General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Jammu and Kashmir.
